An interchange or public transport node is a transfer point where several bus lines interconnect, or it can be combined with a railway stop. In the latter case, the node is usually also equipped with parking spaces for accessing the rail service by car, but only as a complementary mode to accessibility on foot, by bicycle or with pick-up\/distribution lines.

Where can I see the real-time timetable?<\/p>\n

Real-time timetables can be seen on the new digital timetables at many public transport stops. The timetable can also be conveniently consulted on the Arcobaleno App, which shows any delays and lets you know where the bus is on the route. The App also allows you to search for other connections and alternative routes. The App can be downloaded free of charge, more information available at Arcobaleno<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Where can I buy my ticket in advance?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tickets can be purchased in advance directly in the Arcobaleno App. Thanks to the new mobile ticketing service, it is now possible to purchase Arcobaleno tickets and store them directly in the relevant section. There are many different types of community tickets that can be purchased online, such as single tickets, day passes or class changes. It is also possible to purchase tickets to and from all Swiss destinations. Further products will be added at a later stage. The App can be downloaded free of charge, more information available at Arcobaleno<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Why are some lines coloured and others grey?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ticino’s public transport system is constantly evolving. Work is also under way to standardise information for users. In this context, regional lines are now identified by the colour grey, while each urban line is given a specific colour. These colours can be found, for example, on the bollards at bus stops, on the covers of our timetables and also in the Arcobaleno app. The covers of our timetables have therefore also been adapted, please pay attention to the line number.<\/p>\n

\n

Which lines can I use to reach Cinque Vie and S. Antonio?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Cinque Vie stop is served by urban routes 3 and 7 and regional routes 314, 315 and 324.\u00a0 The S. Antonio Centrale stop is served by urban line 7, regional lines 314 and 315 and the Locarno-Camedo railway line.<\/p>\n

Please note that Line 1 no longer serves stops in this area.<\/strong><\/p>\n

From Brione s. Minusio, what is the quickest connection to the station?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Brione s. Minusio, Chiesa is the terminus of the new Lines 3 and 4. Line 4 offers a more direct connection to the station. Line 3, in the direction of Delta Maggia, provides access to the area of S. Antonio, Cinque Vie and Piazza Castello. Line 4 also offers a more direct connection in the opposite direction (from the station towards Brione s. Minusio).<\/p>\n

What is the fastest connection from the Lido area to the station?<\/strong><\/p>\n

From the Lido area, the most direct connection to the station is provided by Line 3.<\/p>\n

No, it is no longer possible to reach the centre of Ascona with Line 316. You must get off at the Fiume Maggia stop and take Line 1 in the direction of Losone.<\/p>\n
