Timetable change 2025–2026: main updates for railway and bus services
From 14 December 2025, the new timetable for the Vigezzina–Centovalli Railway and FART bus services will come into force. Below is an overview of the main changes for passengers.
Vigezzina–Centovalli Railway
- New / cancelled services
The international morning service Locarno 06:50 – Domodossola 08:40 has been reinstated, with a connection to the EuroCity service to Brig–Bern–Basel (08:48).
The Locarno 08:51 – Domodossola service has been cancelled.
The regional R70 service has been modified: new departure Locarno 06:57 – Intragna 07:18. - Station works
LDis accessibility works continue at Palagnedra, Corcapolo and Ponte Brolla.
In 2026, works will also begin at Tegna and Intragna. - Replacement services
Replacement bus services are available at stops not served by other public transport lines (e.g. Corcapolo).
Where alternatives exist, such as at Ponte Brolla, passengers are invited to use bus line 315 Locarno–Maggia–Cavergno.
FART Bus Services
- Line 314 Locarno–Losone–Arcegno–Ronco sopra Ascona
The 16:13 service from Ronco is postponed to 16:19, with a connection to RE80.
The night service changes from 22:43 to 22:40 and operates every Friday, Saturday and on weekdays during the summer holidays.
The service terminates at Solduno, Stazione, with a connection to line 7 (22:58). - Line 316 Locarno–Brissago
New services Locarno → Brissago at 14:20 and 15:20.
New service Brissago → Locarno at 15:07.
The 08:20 service (daily) and the 20:20 service (except during summer holidays) are cancelled.
The 00:12 Brissago–Locarno service (Sunday–Thursday, except during the summer period) is cancelled. - Line 370 Locarno–Intragna
All evening services replacing the R70 now also serve Intragna, Ponte.

Ferrovia Vigezzina-Centovalli: night work from 9 to 20 December 2025
FART informs its valued passengers that from Tuesday, 9 December to Saturday, 20 December 2025, between 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., night work will be carried out along the railway line between Muralto and San Martino, as well as between Tegna and Verscio.
The work includes regular maintenance operations, such as rail grinding and the movement of bimodal vehicles, in order to ensure the safety and punctuality of the service.
The schedule may be subject to changes due to weather conditions or unforeseen events. We thank our passengers for their understanding.

Line 311: Roadworks on Via Simen in Minusio
Starting on Monday, 1 December at 13:30 and until further notice, the route of line 311 in Minusio will be modified due to roadworks on Via Simen:
- Direction Bellinzona: the line will run via Via Cà di Ferro and Via San Gottardo. The stops “Minusio, Esplanade” and “Minusio, Ponte Navegna” will be served as usual. The “Scuola Media” stop will be moved forward, before the turn into Via Cà di Ferro.
- Direction Locarno: the line will run via Via San Gottardo and Via Verbano, then return to the regular route on Via Simen. The stops “Minusio, Ponte Navegna”, “Esplanade” and “Remorino” will be served as usual. The “Scuole Medie” stop will be suspended.
- The stop “Minusio Paradiso di Vacanze” will be suspended in both directions.

Line 311: stop relocation
FART informs its valued passengers that, due to construction works, the “Gordola Municipio” stop has been relocated by approximately 80 metres toward Gordola Gnesa until further notice.
Please pay attention to the temporary stop signs and the notices displayed on site.

Vigezzina-Centovalli Railway: closure of the waiting room – Verdasio Station
FART informs its valued passengers that, from Monday 20 October 2025 (after the last train on Sunday 19 October), the waiting room at Verdasio Station will not be accessible to the public.
The closure is necessary for the renewal of the safety system. With the upcoming adaptation of the station to the Disability Act (project pending approval), new waiting shelters will be installed.

Vigezzina-Centovalli Railway: work to adapt stations to the LDis (Disabled Persons Act)
The FARTs informs the respectable users that as part of the work to adapt the stations to the Disabled Persons Act (LDis):
- The Ponte Brolla train station is closed to the public until further notice. The station is served by Line 315 of the FART Autolinee. More information
- Palagnedra and Corcapolo train stations are closed to the public until further notice.
- The stops will be served by a replacement bus service operating between Intragna and Camedo. Seats are limited and cannot be reserved. Longer travel times are to be expected. More information.
- Trains will run regularly, serving stops in Intragna, Verdasio and Camedo.

Line 4 and 312: stop cancellation due to works
FART informs the respectable users that, due to works, the stop Muralto, Casa S. Agnese direction Locarno FFS is discontinued until further notice. We invite you to use the nearest stops: Muralto, Symposium and Muralto, Residenza Montana.
