Route

The new Line 3 takes over part of the route of the former Line 2 and connects the Maggia Delta area with the stations of Muralto, Orselina and Brione s.. Minusio. The route differs in both directions. From the Delta Maggia terminus towards Brione s.. Minusio, the line stops at Piazza Stazione and continues towards the hill with the new stop at Città Vecchia (one way only). At the terminus Brione s.. Minusio terminus, the bus continues on Line 4. From the terminus Brione s.. Minusio towards Delta Maggia, the line follows the outward route as far as S. Antonio Chiesa and then detours at the Cinque Vie, Piazza Castello and Centro stops. The line then continues to Locarno Stazione from where it resumes its journey to Delta Maggia.

Frequency

The Line 3 timetable is valid 7 days a week and runs every 30 minutes from early morning until evening and every hour after 21:00.

    Strengthening

    Compared to the former Line 2, the first morning runs have been brought forward. The first bus from Locarno, Delta Maggia departs at 5:18 a.m. The first service from Brione s.. Minusio departs at 6:15 a.m. The service is also extended into the evening. The last bus from Locarno, Delta Maggia departs at 00:18 and from Brione s.. Minusio at 00:45. The application of the same timetable to all days of the week guarantees an increase in services at weekends and on public holidays.

    30.03.2022 All lines - Compulsory wearing of face masks on board withdrawn From Friday 01.04.2022, the requirement to wear a face mask on board public transport will be lifted in line with federal regulations.
    No major construction sites are currently planned along Line 3. Please note that up-to-date information on timetables and disruptions can be found on fartiamo.ch and the Arcobaleno App.

    Bicycle transport

    Bicycle transport is authorised on all routes from Monday to Friday, from 08.00 to 16.00 and from 19.00 to 06.00.
    to Friday, from 08.00 to 16.00 and from 19.00 to 06.00. Saturdays,
    Sundays and public holidays with no timetable restrictions.

    Interchange
    nodes

    Interchange nodes are points where several bus lines converge or where there is also a railway stop, offering the possibility of changing means of transport. For users interested in quick connections to the station from Brione S. Minusio and vice versa, it is advisable to use Line 4. From the station, Line 4 provides a faster connection to the Lido area.
