Frequency

The Line 3 timetable is valid 7 days a week and runs every 30 minutes from early morning until evening and every hour after 21:00.

    Lines 3 and 4: disruptions due to Triathlon Locarno 2025 – 05-08.09.2025
    FART informs its valued passengers that, in order to allow the "Triathlon Locarno 2025" to take place, from Friday 5 September 2025 until Monday 8 September 2025 at 14:00, service disruptions are expected, including stop relocations, stop cancellations and route changes on lines 3 and 4.

    • Line 3: the stop Locarno, Bosco Isolino will be cancelled in both directions.

    • Line 3: the stop Locarno, Lido will be relocated in both directions to the intersection with Via Lanca degli Stornazzi.

    • Line 4: the stops Locarno, Saleggi, Locarno, Sacra Famiglia and Locarno, Lido will be cancelled in both directions.

    • Line 4: the stop Locarno, Scuole medie Varesi will be relocated to the intersection with Via Luigi Lavizzari.


    No major construction sites are currently planned along the Line 3 route.

    Bicycle transport

    Bicycle transport is authorised on all routes from Monday to Friday, from 08.00 to 16.00 and from 19.00 to 06.00.

    Sundays and public holidays with no timetable restrictions.

    The Disabled Persons Act (LDis) stipulates that from 2024, public transport must be accessible without barriers and thus, in principle, independent use by persons with disabilities. In recent years, various equipment and vehicles have been adapted to enable disabled users and users with reduced mobility to travel independently.

    Interchange
    nodes

    Interchange nodes are points where several bus lines converge or where there is also a railway stop, offering the possibility of changing means of transport. For users interested in quick connections to the station from Brione S. Minusio and vice versa, it is advisable to use Line 4. From the station, Line 4 provides a faster connection to the Lido area.
