Triathlon Locarno 2026: Changes to Bus Services

Due to the Triathlon Locarno 2026 event, some bus routes will be subject to detours, temporary stop closures and stop relocations.

Routes 3 and 4

From Friday, 04.09.2026, start of service, until Monday, 07.09.2026, 2:00 pm, routes 3 and 4 will be subject to service changes and possible delays.

Route 3: the "Locarno, Bosco Isolino" stop is suspended in both directions.
Route 3: the "Locarno, Lido" stop is relocated in both directions to the junction with Via alla Lanca degli Stornazzi. Please follow the temporary signage on site.
Route 4: the "Locarno, Sacra Famiglia" stop is suspended in both directions.
Route 4: the "Locarno, Scuola Media Varesi" stop is temporarily relocated near the junction with Via L. Lavizzari. Please follow the temporary signage on site.
Route 4: the "Locarno, Saleggi" stop is suspended.
Route 4: the "Locarno, Lido" stop is suspended in both directions for the entire duration of the event. Passengers are advised to use the "Locarno, Residenza Lido" stop.

All Routes

On Saturday, 05.09.2026 from 3:00 pm until the end of the event, and on Sunday, 06.09.2026 from 8:00 am until the end of the event, all routes travelling towards "Locarno, Stazione" will follow a detour.

The "Locarno, Piazza Castello" stop towards "Locarno, Stazione" is suspended.
The "Locarno Centro" stop towards "Locarno, Stazione" is temporarily relocated to Via Orelli. Please follow the temporary signage on site.

No major construction sites are currently planned along Line 315.

Bicycle transport

Bicycle transport is authorised on all routes from Monday to Friday, from 08.00 to 16.00 and from 19.00 to 06.00. Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays without time restrictions.

Disabled travellers

The Disabled Persons Act (LDis) stipulates that from 2024, public transport must be accessible without barriers and thus, in principle, independent use by persons with disabilities. In recent years, various equipment and vehicles have been adapted to enable disabled users and users with reduced mobility to travel independently.

Nodes
of interchange

Interchange nodes are points where several bus lines converge or where there is also a railway stop, offering the possibility of changing means of transport. Coming from Cavergno, the Piazza Castello stop is the first interchange with all the other FART urban and regional lines. For example, if you are coming from Cavergno, you can change from Line 315 to Line 1 to go to Ascona or from Line 315 to Line 4 to go to the Lido area.
