FART lines: major service disruptions due to Tour de Suisse 2026
On the occasion of the Tour de Suisse stage on Thursday, 18 June 2026, services on FART lines will be subject to major disruptions in the Locarno region due to road closures along the race route. Throughout the day, delays, service cancellations and route changes are expected on all lines. Connections will not be guaranteed and group transport cannot be ensured during the most affected time periods.

The disruptions will particularly affect the following time slots:

    • from 09:00 to 10:40
    • from 12:00 to 14:30
    • from 16:00 to 19:00

Special attention should also be paid to the evening period, when delays in the resumption of regular services may occur.

The detailed list of affected services is available in the following document: SERVICE CHANGES 18.06

Passengers are advised to plan their journey in advance, consult the online timetable and follow updates on our website. We thank our passengers for their understanding.

No major construction sites are currently planned along the Line 316 route.

Please note that up-to-date information on timetables and disruptions can be found on fartiamo.ch and the Arcobaleno App.

    Bicycle transport

Bicycle transport is authorised on all routes from Monday to Friday, from 08.00 to 16.00 and from 19.00 to 06.00. Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays without time restrictions.

The Disabled Persons Act (LDis) stipulates that from 2024, public transport must be accessible without barriers and thus, in principle, independent use by persons with disabilities. In recent years, various equipment and vehicles have been adapted to enable disabled users and users with reduced mobility to travel independently.

    Contact for disabled travellers
Disabled travellers are invited to contact the Swiss Central Office, SBB Handicap Contact Centre:

    • From Switzerland: Tel. 0800 007 102, free of charge (service available from 06.00 to 22.30)
    • From abroad: Tel. +41 800 007 102

    Nodes
    of interchange

Interchange nodes are points where several bus lines converge or where there is also a railway stop, offering the possibility of changing means of transport. For connections to the centre of Ascona it is necessary to change buses at the Fiume Maggia stop, changing from Line 316 to Line 1 (or vice versa). From Piazza Castello, on the other hand, connections are possible with Line 4 to and from the Lido area.
